I am a Chartered Architect, having qualified and originally registered in 2008, and registered with the RIAS & RIBA.
I established RS-AD in order to provide clients with a bespoke, individually tailored service that allowed the time required to deal with each unique project.
Through extensive experience from 2004 to present, I have developed as an architect, allowing insight and input at all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work. My design skills have developed from the urban design layout and housing association work early in my career, to unique and bespoke residential, commercial & leisure design.
Most recently prior to starting RS-AD, I had the role of Design & Delivery Lead with a busy Aberdeen architectural practice. During this time I led my team to deliver a variety of projects across the residential, leisure & commercial sectors.
I am also involved in the profession outwith my day to day work. Since setting up my own practice I have also found the time to provide ad-hoc tutoring at The Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen. I was the President of The Aberdeen Society of Architects (ASA) from 2019-2021, and was re-elected to the post from 2023-2024. The ASA is one of 6 local chapters of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS). As part of my role with the RIAS & ASA I sit on the local Build It & Build Your Future committees, and sit nationally on RIAS Council.
